Some engagement sessions are beautiful because of the scenery, and some are beautiful because of the story behind them. Lexie and Garrett’s session was both.
We spent the evening wandering through Lexie’s grandparents’ farm, a place filled with memories, family history, and so much sentimental value. Being invited into a place that means so much to a couple always makes a session feel extra special, and this one was no exception.
What made the evening even better was Lexie and Garrett themselves. They are the kind of couple who make photography easy—playful, relaxed, and constantly making each other laugh. Whether they were walking hand-in-hand through the grass or cuddled up by the water, their connection felt effortless and genuine. Their joy was contagious, and I found myself smiling behind the camera the entire time.
If this session was any indication of what’s to come, their wedding day is going to be incredible. I cannot wait to celebrate alongside them, capture the next chapter of their story, and maybe even take them up on that golf outing we’ve been talking about. Until then, I’m so grateful I got to document such a meaningful evening in a place that will always hold a special piece of their story.
